Is my donation really tax-deductible? +

Yes! Starry Is Hope is federally recognized as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. All donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law. You'll receive an immediate receipt for your tax records.

Where exactly does my money go? +

100% of donations go directly to creating and distributing free resources for families of the fallen. This includes printing books, creating comfort bundles, shipping costs, and building community support. We publish annual financial reports for complete transparency.

What is the Zeffy platform? +

Zeffy is a donation platform designed specifically for nonprofits. Unlike other platforms, Zeffy charges zero fees to organizations or donors. They offer an optional tip to support their free service, but this is completely optional and you can adjust or remove it.

Can I donate in memory or honor of someone? +

Absolutely. We would be honored to receive a donation in tribute to someone special. When you make your gift through our memorial giving link, you can share your loved one's name and any details you'd like to include. We handle all memorial donations with the utmost respect and dignity.

How do families receive resources? +

We partner with Gold Star family organizations and first responder groups to identify families in need. Each family is contacted respectfully, never pressured, and given the choice to receive our support. Books and comfort bundles are shipped directly to them at absolutely no cost.

What is the significance of 529? +

529 represents May 29th (5/29)—the date we lost Todd, our founder's husband and Hope's dad, and the date Starry Is Hope was founded six years later. Our goal is to reach 529 families in this first campaign, symbolizing remembrance, rebirth, and love that lives on.
